Lightning at Sunset

Video: Panasonic LX3
Photos: Canon 50D

Some video and pics of lightning last night up near my mum’s place. In some of the footage you can hear the 50D shutter when I was taking pics πŸ™‚

In the first few clips the lightning is towards the left hand side, later on it’s towards the middle. Don’t blink, you’ll probably miss it.

Larger version of the above video is here should fill most screens πŸ™‚

Unfortunately the video suffers a bit from the whole conversion process LX3 -> iMovie -> Smugmug -> Output.

To give you an idea of the video output on the LX3, one of the original clips is here.

    @Aaron
    the LX3 is a nice camera, have enjoyed using it.

    Pro:

    Quite a bit more portable than a DSLR.
    Great for panoramics / wide angle.
    Nice 720p video output.
    Decent image quality.

    Con:

    60mm telephoto… it really isn’t.
    Fiddly controls (for my big hands).
    Poor menu (compared to a Canon).
    Battery life doesn’t seem awesome (compared to DSLR).
