D Day

Saturday, September 30th, 2006

Well today was “D Day”, our baby was due! However we are still waiting patiently, the last week or two seems to go the slowest.

We spent the day doing a few chores around the house and not much more. I was moving some long wooden plank shelves in the rafters of the shed and didn’t realise how heavy they were, one 10foot x 2foot one came down and wacked me in the face.

So now I’ve got a smashed nose to add to my fractured rib (which is slowly getting better), lucky Caterina gave me some ice to hold on my nose so it didn’t swell up too much. Not like I need a bigger nose or anything :)

Samuel & Toni-Rae came over for an hour or so tonight with their boys, that was nice, we haven’t had them over as a family for a while. Tobias is soo cute, let’s hope our baby if it is a boy is as cute as Tobias!

Grease Babies

Speaking of baby things, Caterina got this one in an email today.

It’s a flash animation of babies singing to various Grease songs, it’s a laugh.

Washing

Caterina did some washing of baby clothes during the week.

Here’s a couple of pics of some of the cute little outfits and socks.

Cute huh!

Still sore

Saturday, September 16th, 2006

My rib is still sore but slowly getting better and I can’t wait until it’s fully fixed, the quicker the better I reckon!

Walked home from work on Friday night, was a good way to clear my head and made me feel a lot better after a long week at work. Might try to walk home once a week, would be good I reckon.

Had a nice relaxing Saturday, just doing a few things around the place and not much more.

Managed to finally swap over to Wordpress for my site, it’s been a while coming… probably about a month since I first installed wordpress and started playing with it and seeing if I could make it do everything I wanted.

Will see how it all goes.

Home for the day

Monday, September 11th, 2006

Last week I sneezed at work and I felt something go “pop” in my rib area. Over the weekend it got really sore, so today I stayed home from work and went to the docs. Turns out that I have a fractured rib and some torn muscles, nothing can be done except rest and taking it easy.

Spent some time replying to old emails that I should have sorted a long time ago, also did some other bits but nothing major.

Tonight we went to another baby class that the hospital is running, that went well, just lots and lots to learn. I’m sure it’s going to be lots of fun and scary at the same time.
