Spammers Love Free Wordpress Themes
Don’t you just love free stuff? It’s awesome that people are happy to create and give away stuff on the Internet for free, like Wordpress themes.
You just have to be aware that spammers are also in the free Wordpress theme game!
I recently tried a theme call Blue Glow. It all looked nice enough on the surface, I thought to myself cool this will do just fine…
But after switching my site to use the theme I started noticing strange things, like these random links in the page footer.
Which when you look in the theme editor, they are encoded so you can’t see them…
And then you look in other theme files and you find more hard coded links…
And then you find random links inserted into your database…
And then you go find a new theme… Thanks to “Mr Wordpress Theme Spammer” it’s probably best to get your next Wordpress theme from somewhere more reputable.

Yea, pretty disgusting to be honest. Really sad that some people will still use these themes though, therefore making the spammy sites more popular.
